In my quest to find the newest and neatest craft type things, I requested to receive a set of Linkyo chalk markers for deeply discounted or free to review for this blog. Well one thing I've always prided myself on is truthful reviews no matter what. I will give my honest opinion of something no matter what-With that said-These markers are AWESOME!!!! I mean, there's SO much that you could do with these markers.
Ok so when I got them it was pretty cold outside so I was worried about immediately messing with them because the ink was cold but we brought them in and had them working within ten minutes. They're super easy to get started. You press the tip a few times to relieve the pressure then you shake them for about 15 seconds vertically (up & down) then you press the tip on a hard surface, we used the marker cap, until the ink starts to flow. And one the ink starts to flow it really goes a LONG way!
So we played with them in a few different places, the bathroom mirror, the ebdroom on out mini fridge, we drew on our windows and also on the front of our stainless steel fridge and let me tell you, these things are SUPER easy to clean up. While you're using them I found a little bit of Windex on a paper towel worked and then once they've dried, they wipe up with just a dry paper towel.
These things are BRIGHT!! And the Linkyo company includes a pretty nice assortment of colors.
Now if you leave it on the surface for too long, it does seem to leave a bit of staining but I've noticed that with most chalk or dry erase markers. Also the consistency of the color is going to be different depending on which type of surface you're coloring on but that's just common sense.
So the consensus here at the Romper Room is that we love them!!
